TRADITIONAL WHITE RICE
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 3-5
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
1½ lb (3 cups) of rice long grain
3-4 cups of water
1 ¼ teaspoon salt (taste for satisfaction)
¼ cup of oil
TIP: Rice is best cooked when you use a pot with at least 1” thick bottom to prevent burning. Like pasta, rice can be cooked al dente. The more water per cup of rice, the mushier the rice will be.
TIP: Water should be at least 1/2” above the rice. For every cup of rice add between 1-2 cups of water. The amount of water will determine the rice texture.
